Amazon reported a new side story for Ototachibana's Shōnen Maid squad titled "Shōnen Maid Gaiden: Uch mten Boys". The new volume will be published on March 1st.

The new volume will be focused on the male idol group Uchōten Boys, Ryūji, Hayato and Ibuki. The story will tell the group's everyday lives, as well as their troubles and concerns in the entertainment industry.
Shōnen Maid Squad revolves around the energetic elementary school student Chihiro Komiya, who lives with his mother. Chihiro, whose mother's motto is “no job or no food dır, is quite successful in doing household chores and performing daily routines. After his mother's sudden death, a man named Madoka Taketori who claims to be his uncle appears and asks Chihiro to live with him. Chihiro declines at first, but decides to start cleaning when he sees that Madoka's flamboyant house is terribly dirty. So Madoka presents Chihiro with a new offer: she will deal with the affairs of the house in exchange for living with him. Chihiro accepts the offer, but suddenly finds himself in a maid uniform.
Ototachibana started the series in the May 2008 issue of Kadokawa's Comic B's-LOG, ending in March 2017. Kadokawa compiled the manga into 10 volumes and the series was adapted to the anime that began in April 2016. Funimation released the anime as shown in Japan.
